Found this on another forum, it originally had a watermark plastered all over it which has been removed and at the same time the player 12 has been added with photoshop, but is this the new home shirt? Anyone have any other pitctures of the 2007/08 Man Utd shirt?
Man Utd 07/08 Shirt?
The shirt is just a plain red on the front, but features a white stripe down the back, which pauses for the player name and number and the continues down to the bottom of the shirt. There is a thin black line down this white stripe. Sponsors AIG appear on the front of the shirt in white text inside a white rectangle. Nike’s swoosh is on the right chest and the Old Trafford club’s badge is on the right chest.
Is this the 2007/08 Manchester United shirt?
The new Nike manufactured 2007/08 Manchester United home shirt features the devil logo heavily. Inside the collar of the shirt is the devil in white and written on the bottom of the shirt on the left hand side is “The Red Devils”. On the back of the shirt is the devil in black on a white background.

Looks very similar to this leaked pic, ie; ****. Even worse that it’s replacing the best kit we’ve had for a decade.
I think Nike has placed this silver stripe on the back to show that we are Champions of England, what Nike did with Barca’s shirt using their catalan colours when they won La Liga. P.S i think the lower start of the silver strip may have the year we won the Premiership this season.
not sure i lik ethe shirt but it does fit in with nikes theme this year.. which appears to be plan with a retro feel about it..just look at PSVs, Fulhams and Dortmund

Umm Jez, unfortunately you are wrong, last year’s home kit was a one year affair, to celebrate 50 years since the legendary Busby Babes won their first league title.
And I don’t understand why people hate simple designs, as long as the badge says MANCHESTER UNITED it’s fine. (Just a shame there isn’t a collar….)
Well Jez im a Liverpool supporter and you should know that its only Adidas most of the time that do 2 year home kit deal’s, Nike change there’s every season most of the time.

hey i no this has nothing to do with this new top but i dunno where else to write this……with the new premier league print and the new lion logo for the premier league. i was wondering will there be a modified trophy this year? cus the current one still will have the old lions on each side of the trophy? just a thought anyway……
hmmm….. the sooner we rid ourselves of the AIG logo the better, vodafone was much more stylish, plus it allowed Nike to do alot more with the shirt designs, now they have a big square in the middle of the shirt and cannot do much without making the shirt look odd.

I do like the new shirt, i like da fact that its so simple and goes back to some of the older shirts that we used to have.
However, it is a shame that were changing the one we’ve gotcos it is the best kit we have had for years. Probably the treble season was the last good one.
But the changing isnt just a marketing gimic by united, they have to change it due to the new tele deal. Which is why every club is gonna hav a new kit next year!

Ryan Utd you are wrong the shirt we had this year is a one year tribute to the Busby Babes and anyway unless you buy a new shirt you will be out of date because the font style is changing.

Delightfully minimalist, with just enough modern flair to keep it relevant. The shade of red works nicely, and the stripe sems to be a grower. Nice way of selling numbering too- like the Newcastle shirt it looks a little ***** without it.
It’s a little late sixties, isn’t it? Fourty years since a certain 4-1 win against Benfica? (Annoyingly, also fifty since a certain plain crash in Munich, I assume hence the slightly fifties style text at the bottom (it looks like it’s the kind of flowy freehand text popular then)
Also, I think the box around the AIG is more a safeguard against anything else; one poster earlier said it prevents anything imaginative being doen with the kit; frankly, do we want anything imaginative done with it? It should be red. No frontal stripes, no strange markings. We could, after all, be sponsored by the same company that does Blackburn. There’s a nightmare scenario for you.
By the way, for reference, the numbering will either be O’Shea 22 (Because I feel he’s matured so much in recent years) Or Hargreaves (17?) (Because he’s great!)
Never been one for the more common numbers, and the sad threat that Ole will probably retire next year means I’m not going to get a kit with a number redundant for half of it. Oh well.

“it is a bit too red” being a personal favourite. Whether it’s the kit or not im still buying it and even if i don’t like it at the start it’ll grow on me, they always do! Wish we could keep the Busby Babes one for one more season though, brilliant kit i’ll still be wearin mine in ten years time haha

i not long been down to the ground and one of the workers told me that the new home shirt is out on the 12th of july and there are no previews anywhere.i liked the 06/07 shirt and was a bit put out when i was told its only one season.whatever shirts they wear,i will support them.
by the way,i dont think this is the actual kit because premiership badges dont fold like that and the picture is probably forged.its quite easy to put all the “bits” like the man u badge etc onto a plain red shirt.it could have been super imposed onto rooney too.

shame that it is so plain thats all really. The photo might not show us any good detail to change our minds though so give it a chance! For me I wnated to keep the silver ’surround’ shield under the Utd badge most from this years kit/ 1999 kit.
ALSO!! nearly forgot… why have Utd settled on a ‘Standard’ size for the badge year on year.. and for ANY product? this plain shirt could benefit from a larger badge etc. Even Utds range of baby and kids stuff has same size stiched logo as adult stuff! half as big again please PLUS champions of England under it!

That kit is not the new United kit for the season. It’s a counterfeit kit that was produced in Singapore and has been photographed and some how found it’s way onto the net. You’ve been able to buys these over there for the last couple of months.
Snippits of the new United kit will be ‘previewed’ on manutd.com from the end of June and the new kit will be ‘unveiled’ and worn for the first time when United face Urawa Red Devils on the 17th July. It will then be available to pre-order for a 1st August release date.
However it is very likely that the kit will be ‘leaked’ to the tabloids on the 16th July for added publicity. Until then, you will not be able to see the new kit anywhere.
The kit that Rooney is wearing in the ad is also not the new United home shirt but merely a training shirt that was produced purely for the ad.

There is a new man utd top coming out for the new season.
I know this becuase I work in a sport’s shop which sell the football tops and Man Utd is on the list of new season tops, Man Utds being release on the 14th July.
But, it will not be the top pictured above as if you look on other websites you will see this is a fake. Apparently, the new kit will be ‘Loud’, you will just have to wait and see.

There definately 100% is a new kit this season. This year’s kit was a one off. I e-mailed the megastore and they confirmed this. The shirt at the top of the page is a fake and isn’t our new strip. You can buy it from market stalls in Thailand and its just a fake of last seasons. There are no images of the new kit anywhere yet that i know of, so we will just have to wait!

Jez, united will be replacing their home shirt this summer, as the last one was for one season only as celebration of United first European appearance 50 years ago. I do however hope this isnt the new shirt as there is a lack of white and black, its looks to much like a scouser shirt !

the new home is good. the black 1 is a fake. i have a pic of ji-sung park rio ferdinand and ronlado in the new away one. its white with a red stripe down the middle. the pik looks genuine im having trouble putting the pik onto the comp tho

I must say I’m disapointed with the first kit because it seems a bit bland, I wouldn’t buy it. (last year’s was better) the away kit is alright though. Something tells me that the first kit isn’t right because it’s too boring! I hope that pic of the 1st kit is wrong!

according to the jjb website united are releasing a new home shirt on 1st august (same day we play inter milan in friendly) and a week later we are releasing a new away shirt, replacing the blue shirt. (expect to keep the white one)

I can confirm that the red shirt is Uniteds new home shirt. I sent an email to the United Norwegian Supporters Club and included that picture and asked them if this was Uniteds new shirt, and they replied that they could not show that picture on their home site yet because Nike would sue them. So this is the shirt!
