Canterbury to make Portsmouth’s 07/08 shirts?

Posted on May 4th, 2007 in Portsmouth by 01news

Canterbury Sports ApparelFormed in 1904 and sometimes referred to as CCC, Canterbury is a New Zealand-based sportswear company. Pompey backroom staff have been seen wearing Canterbury products at Fratton Park and even though Canterbury have never made a football shirt before, the rumour is that they could make Portsmouth’s 2007/08 kit.

Pompey are meant to have had difficulties receiving supply from current suppliers Jako, which has meant stock problems and delays in getting the products on the shelves. They are contracted to supply Portsmouth for the coming season, but it looks like that may change.

An announcement from Peter Storrie Portsmouth’s chief executive is expected soon.
