Europass Gloria: 2008 Final Matchball
Adidas and UEFA have presented the match ball that will be used for the Final Match of European Championships 2008. The 2008 tournament commences on Saturday the 7th June with a game between Switzerland (hosts) and Czech Republic at 18:00. This ball will only be used for the Final which will be played on Sunday 29th June in Vienna.
The Final ball is very similar to the Europass Adidas ball that will be used for the rest of the tournament, and that has already been presented. However, the Europass Gloria, as the Final ball is called, is coloured silver, as opposed to the Europass ball which is white. Both balls have 12 black dots, and the Europass Gloria ball has the image of the Henri Delaunay Trophy in silver inside the dots. The flags of hosts Switzerland and Austria have been integrated into both ball designs, forming a circle (showing unity). The technology used for the ball manufacturing clearly shows the superiority that Adidas enjoys in the football sector.
You can see the process of the Europass ball manufacturing in the video below:
Who knows which teams will be kicking this Europass Gloria ball in the Vienna final of the European Championship 2008?
