09/10 Southampton Away Kit

Posted on July 15th, 2009 in Southampton by zebra10

Southampton FC have just unveiled details of their new 09/10 Away Kit. The club last year finished in 23rd position in the Championship meaning the club got relegated to League One.

The club’s new away kit is manufactured by Umbro and features stripes in 2 shades of blue. The upper part of the shirt is in yellow where the club crest is placed on the top left part of it while the Umbro logo is placed on the opposite right. Flybe.com, after having various arguments with the club and were on the verge of terminating their contract with the club will remain the club’s shirt sponsor and they have their logo printed across the center of the shirt. The shirt also features a graphic design of the club’s crest around it.

The navy blue and yellow kit will be used for the 09/10 Season only and prices will start at £25 for a infant’s mini kit (including shirt, short and socks) up to size 6-7 years, £30 for child’s short sleeve shirts and £40 for the adult version. Long Sleeve shirts will be £5 extra. The kit will be available to purchase as from August 5.

    not a bad effort!

Not bad, but if they swapped the blue and yellow round that kit would look mint – and be more like a proper Saints away kit!

that’s nice…can’t wait to see them lose when they come up to the mighty Banks’s Stadium (Walsall) Mind you, anyone can beat Walsall lol but this kit is seriously nice! i’m sort of liking this retro style that is going on with ‘Umbro’ at the moment. As a City fan aswell, i like that retro ‘72 look lol

being a Saints fan i quite like the kit but it certainly is not a retro kit would have prefered something like the new west ham away shirt in yellow and blue tho!

Stevey’s right, if the coloujrs on the shirt were swapped around it would look much better & maybe the blue could be a bit lighter?

Nice to see some yellow in a Southampton away shirt again. Glad they’re out of administration. Even though it’s just for one season, please buy it – they need the money.
