09/10 Milton Keynes Dons Kits

Posted on July 18th, 2009 in MK Dons by zebra10

Milton Keynes Dons have launched their new kits for the 2009/10 season. Milton Keynes last season finished third place in the League One and will thus remain playing in League One for the next season after failing to achieve promotion to the Championship by 2 points.

MK Dons have also unveiled their new deal with Hilton Double Tree. The new Doubletree by Hilton Milton Keynes will be a unique property built within the Dons’ 22,000-seater home. The hotel will have 127 guest rooms, some of which are pitch facing, and the hotel is expected to open as a Doubletree before the end of 2009. A restaurant, bar, gym, along with extensive conference & banqueting facilities – including the largest ballroom in the region – will be among the other highlights for the hotel.

The club’s new kits are manufactured by Nike. The new home kit is mainly white with black sleeves. Away shirt is mainly red featuring a white collar and white sleeves. The club’s third kit is mainly gold with black sleeves and collar. The Nike logo is placed on the top right part of the shirt while the club crest is placed on the opposite left. Club’s new shirt sponsors Doubletree by Hilton has its logo featured on the center of the shirts.

Dons Chairman Pete Winkelman said: “The imminent completion of the hotel at stadiummk marks another important milestone in this unique development and we are very excited about the benefits associated with this top international brand.

“Doubletree by Hilton epitomises the high-quality and customer-focused approach that Milton Keynes demands.”

  4. Watford Boy said,

nice shirts like the home one a lot

  5. Watford Boy said,

the home is a spitting image of the new fulham kit

  6. King Of Erith said,

Dan, I think he’s referring th the yellow Arsenal top from last season. It’s virtually the same pattern!
I remember the good old days when teams released only 2 kits, every 2 years, in their own traditional colurs, that wouldn’t clash withanyone elses. Now it seems that every team releases at least 2 kits a year. Rip off!

  7. HTAFC Lg. 1 Champions 2009/10 said,

Disgusting shirts for a disgusting team. Franchise scum.

  8. darren said,

**** rip off they have had new shirts every season since they robbed wimbledon of there place

  9. Lucas said,

i agree with darren…what’s the point in having a kit if you know that another team (Fulham) have it near enough exactly the same? Away kit is the same template as last years yellow Arsenal away. The other kit…well it looks like a Barnet shirt of somewhat of that standard!

  10. Naenia said,

Just as everyone else said, what’s the point of having an identical kit to Fulham?

  11. Andy Gee said,

I like ‘em. All good. Well done Nike and MK Dons!

  12. christian said,

this kit will inspire the dons to promotion

  13. PhilB65 said,

Who cares? A football club was hijacked. A plague on their house.

  14. mkj said,

Not very nice, our kits should be all one colour like they have been previously, o’well we’ll still get promotion!

  15. Steve said,

White one’s nice as usual, don’t like the Gooner red,Gold one is ok it’s different…..And we didn’t rob or hi-jack anyone at all a**e-holes…..Come on you Dons!!!

  16. Jambo said,

Yes you did Steve, remember the team was called Wimbledon before and they were in League One. You’re club hijacked them and Wimbledon had to start again whilst MK carried on in the League. AFC Wimbledon are only 2 divisions behind you now and will soon overtake you with any luck. As for the kits, the home one is a complete rip off of Fulham, but being MK Dons it is quite apt.

  17. Jambo said,

P.S Who did you MK Dons fans support before 2004?

  18. Liam J.C said,

Jambo to answer your question it was Wimbledon. But why is a third kit needed in league one?

  19. Cannon06 said,

It’s not really the fans’ fault that the Dons ’stole’ Wimbledon so why are people having a go? The kits are nice, and since Fulham and MK are two divisions apart I don’t think it’ll be a problem. It’s also the same as Southend’s, but because they don’t play in black and white people don’t care. Stop moaning.

  20. oggy said,

i don’t know bout the red and gold kit but i definitely like the home kit.

  21. Lohr said,

    That’s excellent kit.

    I like the white one.

How about this newly launched football kit:

    football kits.

Check it and let me know what you think of it…
    Thanks,
    L .M

  22. Scunny Ste said,

what happened to their blue and yellow……………. oh thats right there not a proper football club are they. down with the franchise FC

  23. StokieSteve said,

Good home kit. Promotion for the Dons this year.

  24. Dan said,

are you all calling manchester united scum and hijackers?? no
this is what happened over 100 years ago when Newton Heath changed their name because of debt, someone saved them, and changed their name but kept the league they were in.
so just leave the dons alone, its only because it is the latest one to happen.

  25. Leeds Man said,

saying to Watford boy the reason why they are nearly the same is because there both NIKE

  26. simon said,

OMG I CNT BELIVE U FRNACHISE SCUM U B*STADS STEELIN WIMBELDON!!!11!!111 ND UVE STOLEN THE NEW STANDARD NIKE TEMPLATE DATS BEIN USED BY TEAMS ALL ROUND DA HOLE WORLD U B*STRADS I CNT BELIVE U!!1!1!!
you morons. if winkleman hadn’t have bought the money in, wimbledon would’ve collapsed, resulting in there being no football team at all. and i think the second part speaks for itself really.
