Brett Emerton Australia kit
Brett Emerton was born in Bankstown, Australia. He started his professional football career at Sydney Olympic. He played at this Australian club between 1996 and 2000. He scored 16 goals in 94 appearances. In August of 2000, he joined Dutch club Feyenoord for £415000. He scored 11 goals in his career at Feyenoord where he played in 92 matches. In the season 2001/02, Emerton won the UEFA Cup with Feyenoord, making it the best achievement the player has had in his career so far.
In July 2003, Emerton decided to join Blackburn Rovers after being linked with a large number of Premiership clubs. Emerton himself stated that it was his wish to play in the Premiership at some point in his football career. In his first season at Blackburn he assisted 12 goals and scored 3 goals himself. Brett also plays for the Australian national team. He started with the youth sides of Australia in 1994, and made his senior debut in 1998. Until April 2008, Emerton has earned 62 caps and scored 12 goals for Australia.
