Philadelphia Eagles Football
The Philadelphia Eagles are a professional American football team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Eagles joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1933. They compete in the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL) and they play their home games in the 68,500 capacity Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia's Post Season Record
The Eagles have three League Championships with NFL Championships in 1948, 1949 and 1960. They have also made two losing Super Bowl appearances in 1980 and 2004. In addition they hold three Conference Championships NFL Eastern in 1960 and NFC in 1980 and 2004, plus eleven Division Championships from NFL East in 1947, 1948, 1949 and 1960 and NFC East in 1980, 1988, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006.
Eagles Team Kit & Strip
The Eagles wear dark green jerseys and white pants for home games and white jerseys for away. In 2007 they will celebrate their 75th anniversary and a throwback jersey in yellow and blue which will be worn when the play the Detroit Lions has been produced. The team helmet is dark green with a white Eagle wing coming from the front and the team logo is a Eagles head with the beak open and looking very threatening. Reginald Howard 'Reggie' White the Defensive End donned the shirt between 1985 and 1992.
