David Dunn was born in Great Harwood, Lancashire he plays football for the his home town club and the team he supported as a boy Blackburn Rovers in the English Premiership.
He made his debut for Blackburn in 1997, his first goal in a Rovers shirt didn't come until 1999 during his first full season, when he scored against Aston Villa. Blackburn were relegated that year, but Dunn was instrumental in helping Blackburn back to the top flight in 2000/01. He also starred as Rovers went on to win the League Cup Final against Tottenham at the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff in 2002. That year David also received his one and only England cap.
By 2003 Dunn had fallen out with then Blackburn manager Graeme Souness and was transfered to Birmingham City for £5.5million. His career in the midlands was blighted by injuries and Dunn failed to capture his past form, by 2007 he had only appeared 58 times for Birmingham. The January transfer window of 2007 saw Bolton make a bid for Dunn and it looked like the Lancashire lad was set to sign for Bolton, until a last minute bid from his home town team was too resisting for Dunn to resist and he went back to Ewood Park.
