Derry City Football
Derry City is a professional Northern Irish football club. It was founded in 1928 and is the only Northern Irish team to play in the Republic of Ireland league (FAI League of Ireland). Derry have won many trophies in different leagues: Derry have won 4 league titles 1 IFL,2 FLI and one FLI First Division. 4 FAI Cups, 8 FAI league cups and 3 IFA Cups.
Derry play at Brandywell Stadium which has a capacity of 7,700 but under UEFA guidelines only 2,900. The Derry City Council owns the ground and lends it to the Football Club. The Stadium is also used for greyhound racing with a track on the outside of the football pitch. Derry's home shirt is red and white vertical strips with the same on the shoulders. The away shirt is black.
