Denmark Football
The Danish national football team played their first international against England in Copenhagen, Denmark on the 5th May 1910 winning 2-1. They play their home games in the 41,500 capacity Parken stadium, Kbenhavn.
Denmark play their home games in strip comprising of red shirts, white shorts and red socks, with an away strip of white shirts, red shorts and red socks. They have been a competitive side in international football since the mid 1980s, their red shirts appearing in the World Cup of 1986 for the first time, when they surprised the world by winning their group, including a 6-1 thrashing of Uruguay. In the second round, they came back to earth getting knocked out by Spain 5-1. Denmark were suprise winners of the European Championships in 1992, coming off the beach to replace war torn Yugoslavia in the competition and won the final beating Germany 2-0.
