The 2011 Copa América will be hosted by Argentina, it is an international association football competition contested by the members of CONMEBOL, as there are only ten teams in CONMEBOL they invite teams from outside to take part and this year they are Japan and Mexico. Brazil are the current holders of the trophy after beating Argentina in 2007, when the tournament was last staged in Venezuela.

The Copa America will run from, July 1 to July 24, 2011 at eight stadiums across Argentina. The teams are split into three groups of four for the first stage, the group winners & runners-up automatically reach the quarter finals, whilst the two best placed runners-up also qualify for the knock-out stages.
