Non-league Team's Shirts
The Conference is the level below the top divisions of English League football. Founded in 1979 the league feeds teams to League Two, initially the Football Conference was just one division, but in 2004 was expanded to include a regional North & South conferences.
Promotion and relegation from the Football League and the Conference was not automatic until 1987/98 and only the champions were promoted until 2003/04 when a playoff of the teams placed 2nd to 5th selected an additional promoted team.
