Club Deportivo Chivas also more often abbreviated to Chivas USA is a professional soccer club formed in 2004 and based in Los Angeles, California. Chivas USA joined the US Major League Soccer in the 2005 season. They play their home games in the 27,000 capacity stadium The Home Depot Centre, 18400 Avalon Boulevard, Carson, California 90746. The stadium is shared with LA Galaxy.

Club Deportivo Chivas wear red and white striped shirts for their home games, with blue shorts and socks. The away shirt is reversed white on red and the shorts and socks are white. The shirt is yet to be worn to any honours.
Association with Guadalajara Chivas
Club Deportivo Chivas, is co-owned by Antonio Cue and Jorge Vergara, the owners of the Mexican Club Deportivo Guadalajara and Deportivo Saprissa of Costa Rica. Probably thanks to this link, the club has a strong Latino fan base. Also the club colours of red, white, and navy blue are the same as the Guadalajara club.
