Brighton & Hove Albion Football
Brighton & Hove Albion, the Seagulls as they are nicknamed were formed in 1901 and are an English football team from Brighton & Hove in East Sussex. Brighton play their home games in the 8,850 capacity Withdean Stadium in East Sussex. They have plans to move to a new stadium in Falmer but although they have a high level of local support the project is still fraught with planning problems.
Brighton play their home games in blue and white striped shirts with white shorts and socks, the away strip is white shirts with blue shorts and socks. Brighton's blue and white shirt has been pulled on by a few notable names from the game two of whom are: Alan Curbishley who played for the club from 1987 to 1990 as he was coming to the end of his playing career and Mark Lawrenson the well known BBC TV pundit who played for the club before becoming a household name at Liverpool.
