Also known the Brasileirao, the Campeonato Brasileiro is the name for the Brazilian football leagues. The league was established in 1971 to replace the previous national competitions known as The Torneio Roberto Gomes Pedrosa and The Taça Brasil. The leagues are broken down into three divisions, Serie A, Serie B and Serie C.
