Bradford City Football
Bradford City Association Football Club were formed in 1903, they play their home games in the 25,100 plus seater Valley Parade or The Bradford & Bingley Stadium, Bradford. The stadium has a sad history as it was the scene of the tragic fire which claimed 56 lives in May 1985.
Bradford play their home games in claret and amber strip, hence the nickname Bantams from the view that the colours are similar to the look of the bright feathers of the bird. The away strip is a more usual colour of blue and black with red edging. The biggest claim to fame to date for players wearing the claret and amber was in winning the FA Cup back in 1911. They also spent a season in the Premiership after an impressive football league campaign, Bradford struggled to compete and went straight back down.
