Prior to the split of Yugolsavia, Bosnia & Herzegovina did not exist as a football team, the nation played their first game in Tehran, Iran beating the Iranians 3-1 on June 6th 1993. They are yet to make a major finals or the World Cup or European Championships (they very nearly qualified for Euro 2004).
