Bolton Wanderers Football
Bolton Wanderers were formed in 1874 they were previously called Christ Church Sunday School team, the team originally were known as The Reds because they wore red and white quartered shirts and later white shirts with red spots on, which were supposed to make them look bigger. Bolton wear plain white shirts for their home strip, certainly not as exciting as their original colours. Bolton play their home games at the Reebok Stadium, Burnden Way, Lostock, Bolton.
Bolton now have the nickname of the Trotters, gained when the club played beside a pigsty. Famous players who have worn the Bolton strip are Frank Worthington, John McGinlay who played a big part in Boltons 1990s resurrection and of course, the near legendary Nat Lofthouse who scored a record 255 goals for the club and made 33 appearances for England.
