Juliano Belletti Brazil kit
Juliano Belletti started his senior career in Brazil with Cruzerio in 1993. He stayed with the club for two years before moving to Sao Paulo where he managed to hold down a regular starting spot. In 1999, he moved on loan to Atletico Mineiro. This was the peak of Belletti's career in Brazil as he was awarded a Silver Ball by Placar magazine for his continuous high quality performances throughout the season. After the loan, he stayed with Sao Paolo for two more seasons before moving to Villarreal in 2002.
Belletti's spell with Villarreal was highly successful and his form attracted a move to giants Barcelona in 2004 where he became first choice right back and a key set piece taker. After winning La Liga in his first season with the club, he slowly began to fall out of favour although he played during the majority of his second season. In the 2006 Champions League final against Arsenal, Belletti started on the bench but came on to score the winner in the team's 2-1 victory. However, the following season saw him restricted even further as Gianluca Zambrotta was brought into the club.
In the summer of 2007, Belletti signed for Chelsea and made his debut as a sub in the August Premier League victory over Portsmouth. His first season at the club saw him become a regular at right back where he grew a reputation for scoring powerful long range goals. In fact, one of his strikes against Tottenham in January 2008 was voted as Chelsea Goal of the Season. However, Jose Bosingwa's arrival in 2008 saw Belletti relegated to the bench. He was used as an impact utility player by Luis Felipe Scolari in central midfield and the right wing. He is a cult favourite with Chelsea supporters and further added to his reputation in the 08/09 campaign with further goals against Middlesbrough and Stoke.
