Barcelona Football Club was founded in 1899 by Joan Gamper a Swiss businessman, the club´s international nature has been a quality since the first days of its existence, as shown by still holding the original Anglican version of its name Futbol Club Barcelona, instead of the formal Spanish version Club de Futbol Barcelona. Barcelona play their home games at Camp Nou, Avenida Arstides Maillol, Barcelona, which is officially known as Nou Estadi del Futbol Club Barcelona.
Barcelona who´s nickname is Barca wear home shirts of red and blue. Barcelona are the only club who do not have a sponsor´s name or logo on the front of their kit, traditionally they have never had shirt sponsorship.
Barca has had many famous players pull on their red & blue strip, a few of whom are Johan Cruijff, Patrick Kluivert, Gary Lineker, Maradona, Rivaldo and Ronaldo.
