Argentina Football
The Argentina national football team played their first international against Uruguay in Montevideo, Uruguay on the 16 May 1901 winning 3-2. They play their home games in Buenos Aires.
Argentina play their home games in strip comprising blue shirts with white stripes down them, the shirt is worn by one of the most successful national football teams, having won two World Cups and one Olympic Title. Argentina has appeared in four World Cup finals, including the first final in 1930, which they lost 4-2 to Uruguay. They won the final, when they next got there in 1978, beating the Netherlands 3-1 on home soil and also won in 1986 captained by Diego Maradona, with a 3-2 victory over West Germany. Their last final was in 1990, which they lost 1-0 to West Germany.
