Airdie United Football

Airdrie United Football Club is a club based in the Scottish town of Airdrie in North Lanarkshire. Initially, the club was called Clydebank, and was founded in 1967, but in May 2002, the club changed its name to Airdrie United. The team is nicknamed the Diamonds (due to their team strip: white top with a red diamond) and the Waysiders.

Currently, Airdrie play in the Scottish 2nd Division. Their biggest achievement in the team.s relatively short history is being crowned champions of 2nd Division back in 2002/03. The manager of the team is ex-player Kenny Black and the team captain is Paul Lovering. The stadium used for home matches is New Broomfield which has a capacity of 10172 supporters.
