Gabriel Agbonlahor joined Aston Villa at the age of 14. He broke Darius Vassell's goalscoring record in the Villa Youth team netting 40 times in 2003/04 season. He made his full debut in a defeat at Goodison Park in March 2006 where he scored Villa's consolation goal.
He became a first team regular the following season in playing in a three man attack with Luke Moore and Juan Pablo Angel. In the current season he has partnered John Carew in attack and works very effectively off his big strike partner.
His finishing has improved considerably at first team level and .Gabby. always seems to have that extra yard on his opponents with Arsenal's Theo Walcott describing his pace as electrifying. His pace led to him being featured in a .Nike. commercial alongside Tottenham's Aaron Lennon.
Still only 21 Agbonlahor has played 78 competitive games for Villa scoring 18 goals. His early season form led to a call up to Fabio Capello's first England squad where he was cruelly denied a final place when he picked up an injury at Fulham. He has also made 9 appearances for the England U-21 side.
